Highland Park Independent School District, in Amarillo, and the surrounding area is growing, and we are thrilled to be a part of it, serving as the Structural Engineer of Record for the new Early Learning Academy and CTE Campus for the school district. Totaling approximately 125,000 square feet, the Early Learning Academy is approximately 63,350 square feet with classrooms, a daycare wing, a cafetorium, and a gymnasium designed as an ICC 500 Storm Shelter and the CTE portion of the campus features approximately 62,200 square feet of classroom, lab, and shop space for career and technical training.
The central theme of the campus is promoting community. The large fenced in courtyard with playground space, canopies, and space to host outdoor movie nights is one of the ways Highland Park ISD is aiming to bring the community together.
